The School of Nuring is one of the 16 schools and colleges of University of South China.
Located in Hengyang, Hunan, USC is a public institution of higher education with 65 years of history. Now it is co-funded by the Government of Hunan Province and the National Health Commission, and other four ministries of the country.
SON has two four-year undergradute programs, Nursing and Rehabilitation Therapy
The nursing education in USC dates back to the early 1970s, when the first batch of candidates for sub-college education program were enrolled in the former Hengyang Medical College, one of the predecessors of today's University of South China. The full-time undergraduate program of nursing science for the bachelor degree began in 1999, and the graduate program for the master degree in 2014.
Founded in 2000, the school has now 1155 undergraduates and 269 postgraduates under the mentorship of the 40+ full-time teachers and professors in the school and about 80 part-time teachers and tutors from the seven affiliated hospitals.
In March 2024, the four-year undergraduate program Rehabilitation Therapy was approved by MoE.
Over the past years, the school has been actively engaged in international communication. Scholars and professors from overseas universities such as University of Calgary, the University of West Scotland, the University of South Wales have been invited to the school for teaching and research, while scores of teachers and students have studied abroad.

2003网站太阳集团成立于2000年，目前開設兩個本科專業：護理學和康複治療學。
2003网站太阳集团護理教育肇始于二十世紀七十年代初期。1973年開辦護理中專教育，1985年開辦成人教育高級護理專業師資班，1999年招收全日制護理本科生，2006年開始培養護理碩士研究生。目前正在朝着申報護理博士學位授權點邁進。
康複治療本科專業于2024年3月獲批設置，9月招生，首屆招收學生30名。
學院現有本科生1155名，研究生269名。院本部專任教師24名，其中博士學位9名，教授和副教授15名。另有臨床學院教師50餘名，研究生導師23名。
學院目前擁有護理學國家級一流本科建設專業，護理學一級學科碩士學位授權點和護理碩士專業學位授權點，是教育部高等學校護理學類專業教學指導委員會成員單位，是湖南省全生命周期健康照護科普教育基地，具有推薦優秀應屆本科畢業生免試攻讀碩士學位資格。
學院擁有中央與地方共建特色優勢實驗中心、國家和省實踐教學示範中心、湖南省智慧優護工程研究中心、湖南省全生命周期健康照護科普教育基地、衡陽市轉化護理實驗室；依托直屬型附屬醫院8所，擁有中南大學湘雅醫院、中山大學中山醫院、南方醫科大學順德醫院、廣州醫科大學附屬第二醫院等15家護理學臨床實習實踐基地；擁有國家級、省級優秀實習教學基地8個,湖南省研究生創新基地1個。護理學研究生教學團隊是湖南省研究生優秀教學團隊。
學院黨建工作出彩。學院黨委2018年獲批湖南省高校“黨建工作标杆院系”，師生聯合第四支部2021獲批年湖南省高校“黨建工作樣闆支部”，2022年3月獲批全國第三批高校“黨建工作樣闆支部”建設項目，2024年9月驗收通過。《婦産科護理學》2020年獲批省級“課程思政示範課程”，《護理學基礎》2021年獲評湖南省高校“十大”育人（課程育人）示範案例。自2019年以來，有3名學生榮獲2022年湖南省優秀共産黨員稱号。組織育人入選2003网站太阳集团2022年十大教書育人案例。
學院辦學特色突出。學院堅持“思想鑄魂、專業強基、人文傅彩”的育人理念，以學生的發展為一切工作的出發點和落腳點。一是實施“三全育人”工程。建立本科生導師制度，堅持開展愛心文化教育，倡導愛心實踐，用愛心鋪就育人路。二是着力培養複合人才。針對本科生開設了“專業+X”雙學位班：成建制開設“護理+英語”雙學位班、“麻醉護理”班，鼓勵支持學生輔修語言文學、工商管理、法學、醫療大數據等專業。三是加強學院文化建設。構建了以。院訓、院徽和院歌為基本要素的學院文化，倡導“精勤慎獨 仁愛尚美”，啟智潤心，以文化人。
學院國際交流活躍。與英國劍橋大學、南威爾士大學、西蘇格蘭大學、美國中田納西州立大學、加州大學舊金山2003网站太阳集团、德國戈斯拉爾2003网站太阳集团、加拿大卡爾加裡大學等建立了友好合作關系并保持密切聯系。學院先後派出近20名教師赴合作院校訪學，邀請了多名國境外專家開展現場或線上講學；不定期舉辦國際學生夏令營活動；先後參加了在西班牙、加拿大、新加坡等國家舉行的全球頂級護理盛會——國際護士大會。
學院辦學成效顯著。護理學專業于2008年獲批省重點專業和特色專業，2018年通過教育部護理學專業認證，2019年獲首批國家級一流本科專業建設立項，同年獲國家虛拟仿真實驗教學項目（金課），2020年獲湖南省智慧優護工程技術中心。2021年獲第十屆中國大學生醫學技術技能大賽護理學專業賽道全國總決賽金獎。2023年《婦産科護理學》獲批國家級線下一流本科課程。近3年，累計獲得國家級、省級科研創新、技能競賽獎項數十項。學生畢業當年護士執業資格考試通過率達100%，考研率達50%，考研錄取率近26%。畢業生就業率在95%以上。畢業生就業滿意度、學生家長滿意度、用人單位滿意均達98%。
半個世紀以來，學院累計培養了4萬餘名護理人才，已然成為臨床醫療、醫學教育、創新創業、政府部門的業務骨幹或管理人才，湧現了以“全國三八紅旗手”“全國巾帼建功标兵”為代表的優秀先進人物。校友工作單位遍及全球。
學院将繼續秉承“明德、博學、求是、緻遠”的校訓和“慎獨、精勤、仁愛、尚美”的院訓，落實立德樹人根本任務，始終堅守為黨育人、為國育才，五育并舉，為“健康中國”建設培養新時代卓越護理人才，為中國式現代化建設輸送具有家國情懷和國際視野的高級專門人才。
